Rough tea

The teapot is placed and the coarse, broad-leaf tea is placed on the wood fire and left to boil slowly, which gives it the most wonderful taste and flavour. This tea is also prepared on ‘Zarda’ or on trips held on Eid al-Fitr. It is one of the customs inherited by the tribal Bedouins in Matrouh.
